Faith can matter deeply, even when marriage feels difficult

Shared beliefs do not remove differences in how you communicate, make decisions or express care. You can talk honestly about hurt and uncertainty while exploring how your Christian values relate to the marriage you want to build.

Explore marriage expectations without overlooking your needs

Conversations can include commitment, forgiveness, responsibilities, family expectations and boundaries. We take time to understand what these mean to each partner. Faith is included according to your goals, without pressure to forgive, reconcile or accept a particular outcome.

FAQs

What makes this different from general marriage counselling?

Christian faith can be included in conversations about your marriage when you want it to be. The work still focuses on understanding your experiences, relationship patterns and goals.

Will you tell us what a Christian marriage should look like?

We explore your beliefs and expectations rather than assuming every couple understands marriage in the same way.

Is forgiveness or reconciliation expected?

No. You can discuss what forgiveness, accountability and boundaries mean to you without being required to forgive or stay together.

Can I attend from Oshawa?

Yes. Appointments are virtual by Zoom or phone, from a private space in Oshawa or elsewhere in Ontario. For video sessions, partners can join from separate private locations within Ontario.

Do you have a counselling office in Oshawa?

No.

Are you culturally sensitive?

Yes, I am. My culturally diverse background helps me appreciate both the differences and shared experiences across cultures. I take time to understand your values, experiences and how culture shapes your relationships, without making assumptions.

How much do sessions cost?

Couples counselling is $200 for 60 minutes. Individual counselling is $175 for 60 minutes. A 15-minute consultation is free. Direct billing may be available for eligible plans; coverage depends on your policy.
